RB750 is dead after update to 5.13

Wed Feb 15, 2012 1:11 am

I have RB 750 with 5.11 software.
I downloaded new, for RB700 series, and I uploaded files from extracted zip to mikrotik using winbox. After reboot router is dead.

It turns on led for connected ethernet port, after several seconds it turns on all leds, and after 2 or 3 seconds all 5 leds are off. This happens over and over...

I wanted to reset router using reset button in plastic case, but this doesn't give any results. What should I do?

Something went wrong... But there is an option! :) See the manual for RB750 about the reset button:
"● Hold this button during boot time longer, until LED turns off,
then release it to make RB750 look for Netinstall servers."
You need to run a Netinstall server on your computer, and connect the routerboard (with ether1). Then plug the power to the routerboard, while holding the reset button, like in the manual. It should connect to your netinstall server. That way you can upload any ROS version you want. Maybe even 5.13 will work?

A while ago I had to save my RB750 the same way ;).
Did you upload 5.13, or an older version?
