pppoe setup on vanilla 750

Fri Mar 09, 2012 6:29 pm

From a default state, I am using a basic 750 and putting it on an ATT network with the PPPoE credentials. I add the PPPoE client, apply the user and pass and it connects applying a default route and getting an IP.
My client machine gets the necessary IP from the default DHCP server (192.168.88.x).
But, you cannot get out to the net.
I have removed the default route and replaced it with a static one using DST address of 0.0.0.0/0 and gateway of both the ether 1 gateway and pppoe-out1 with no success.
There has to be a setting that does not get applied by default when setting up a pppoe link?

Okay
What I am finding is I need to enable "Use Peer DNS" checkbox and change the firewall NAT to masquerade the pppoe-out1 interface. It does not complete these items automatically.
