Any problems during or after upgrade?
What changes or improvements you noticed?

5.21 upgrade bricked two RB493AH. Never had it happen before and I've been upgrading/downgrading a lot since I'm using NV2...(only other incident was with 5.20 upgrade that froze up RB1100 but reboot fixed that one)

Can you please give more details on how you upgraded, and what happened? Did you check output on the serial port? You can also contact mikrotik.com support with the supout.rif file and full details.

All of my APs are on backUPS btw. The AP was running fw:3.41, ROS5.20. I copied the following packages to files:

advanced
calea
dhcp
multicast
routerboard
routing
security
system
wireless

and rebooted.

I'm told that board beeps once and that's it.

RouterBOOT booter 2.41

RouterBoard 493AH

CPU frequency: 680 MHz
Memory size: 128 MB

Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup..
loading kernel from nand... OK
setting up elf image... OK
jumping to kernel code
execve: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

============

Bootloader 2.41 is the source of all evil. I've had another couple of RB493AH that I downgraded to 5.17 first (some packages did not install on the first reboot!), downgraded to fw 2.39 and upgraded to ROS5.21 with no issues. Unbelievable...

Initial update of a new RB2011UAS-2HnD to ROS 5.21 and firmware to 3.0 using WebFig went smoothly. Can't comment on any differences or improvements of 5.21, other than it's working perfectly so far.

I've upgraded several small units, so far and seems okay.

I've upgraded 2 RB1100AH's, which are both running MetaRouters (just ROS).
Unfortunately I've had daily reboots of these two RB1100AH's now.
I would say that the "Metarouter" fixes, have not been entirely successful.

I continue getting 20% more bandwidth when AP is v5.17 and CPE are V5.21 vs V5.21 on both (similar to v5.20)
