PPPoE and DHCP on same interface

Wed Nov 28, 2012 9:50 pm

Dear,

I have a mikrotik routerboard RB-2011L-RM at home and i want to do this:
- PPPoE on my VDSL2 line (so that the public IP of my VDSL2 line appears on my mikrotik)
- DHCP client (private IP 192.168.1.x) of the DHCP server of my VDSL2 modem so i can view my modems stats.

When i do this, the routerboard blocks all internet traffic. Is there any way i can do this?

Disable 'add default route' on the dhcp client

Then add a srcnat masq rule to access the modem, with out-interface set to your wan eth interface

Hope that helps.

Nick.
