DNS/DHCP not working?

Thu Jan 10, 2013 7:00 pm

I live in small flat with around 20 students, and the problem is one guy set up the routerboard and access points but he left afterwards, and now I have no idea how to fix this problem.

The set up I'm having is
PC's ==> 3 wireless AP (mikrotik) ==> RB1100AHx2 ==> modem (from ISP) ==> internet

I'm guessing there is something wrong with either the DNS or the DHCP. I'm able to access the internet when i plug my laptop into the modem, but I cannot ping the internet from my routerboard when I connect it.

Thanks,
Nick

Some info (if anything else is needed just ask).

hi, is there any masquerade rule in /ip firewall nat ? might need to look into your overall configuration as well by exporting you ip, gateway, dns & nat.

From this point of view it can be anything, IP configuration of local network, firewall conf. modem conf.
We need more info.

Ok, for beginning:
- RB1100AHx2 is connected to modem...How? (pppoe?)
- from which router is that route conf.??
- Your def. route is not configured proper that is all I can see from your post.

export all config. from all routers
