web proxy

Wed Jan 23, 2013 9:03 pm

I have mikrotik web proxy running. I am only useing it as a regular proxy with no caching, and allowing certain destination ports. The problem is when connected to the proxy some websites will redirect me to google.
When i disconnect from the proxy i am able to access the website without a problem. I have no access or redirect rules for the web proxy currently. Why am i getting redirected to google when clicking on certian website links?

At first flush you DNS cache in mikrotik. If your problem is solved yet then use a transparent squid proxy server as a parent server in mikrotik web proxy. Also check one issue that is problem found from your particular private IP or all private IP?

maybe you have a deny and redirect rule in /ip proxy access
or maybe the dns server you have configured on your router is malfunctioning
