Limitations problem with User Manager!

Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:56 pm

Hello,

i have a problem with the limitations in the user manager.

A customer that have a limitation to 17mbp/s only gets 11mbp/s maximum.
If i remove all the limitations it works well and gives him 40mbp/s.
Changing the limitation to 6mbp/s and he only gets 3 or 4mbp/s.

This is a paste from the user manager for that Client.

Rate limit: 1048576/20971520 2097152/26214400 524288/17825792 20/20 1 524288/524288

Does anyone know what seems to be the problem here?

Thanks in advance.

rate limit 1048576/20971520
burst 2097152/26214400
threshold 524288/17825792
burst time 20/20
priority 1
minimum 524288/524288

it is simple bridged network with PPPOE and usermanager. Ideas?

I have no idea what I've done but it works. :D

Can you please explain me what I've just done? Maybe there would be some side effects?

Thank you.

i think Blindschleiche suggested you use sfq for default-small type of queues instead of pfifo.
Never worked with pppoe server, but i think the default queue type it uses for the clients it's default-small.
I think the problems when using sfq is when you have more than 1024 clients.
