l2tp Client not reachable

Wed Sep 17, 2014 1:46 pm

Hi,

i have established successfully a l2tp connection. :) now i try to access a ftp server on my l2tp client (10.0.1.9) from the other side of the tunnel (10.0.0.2). the l2tp server (10.0.1.1) is reachable from the 10.0.0.2, the client is not. i am able to establish a telnet connection from the client (10.0.1.9) to the 10.0.0.2....

does this forum have any suggestions?

thanks in advance.. :)

You need to ensure that you are routing the correct networks up and down the L2TP link. Do a packet trace or watch the network to see where your packets are going. You will probably find they're not going where you want!

Hi, thanks for your Reply...

Routing? I thought there is only one subnet- no routing, no gateway?

When i make a (telnet) connection from the 10.0.1.9. to the 10.0.0.2, the telnet server tells me: "connection to this unit established from 10.0.1.1:1896". May be this additional information is usefull.
