Hi guys,

We're planning to build an MPLS network, our current network is separated by north and south network and each have several nodes (e.g north have 15 nodes , south have 16 nodes) now my question is,

1. is it necessary to have each node with PE's? or 1 PE on north and 1 PE on south then CE's on client?

2. lets say we have customer A, can i have several customer A on single PE? (meaning customer A at node 1 and another customer at node 2 but both have single PE)

Hi:

1) Every node where you plan to connect customers to, have to be PE

2) A single PE can have multiple customers (each customer connected to a different interface, that can be a phisical port, a VLAN, etc). For the netwotk side of the PE you don't need multiple interfaces.
