strange vpls up down in mpls chain

Sun Jan 28, 2018 10:04 pm

Hi,Im new with mpls and i have created a mpls lab to learn before puting on production with one CCR1016 as vpls concentrator and a chain of 4 routerboards like this. OSPF as routing protocol and MPLS VPLS LDP based configured and running. .All routers are in chain .
just for idea : topology and ip of loopback interfaces shortly are connected like below
TrunkPort---- (vpls concentrator 10.0.255.1 ) ----RB1100ahx4 LSR1 (10.0.255.3 )-------RB1100ahx4 LSR2 (10.0.255.4 )--------RB1100ahx4 LSR3 (10.0.255.5 )------RB960PGS LSR4 (10.0.255.6)

vpls01 from LSR1 10.0.255.3 to vpls-concentrator 10.0.255.1
vpls02 from LSR2 10.0.255.4 to vpls-concentrator 10.0.255.1
vpls03 from LSR3 10.0.255.5 to vpls-concentrator 10.0.255.1
vpls04 from LSR4 10.0.255.6 to vpls-concentrator 10.0.255.1

My problem is : if i bring down vpls01 on the vpls concentrator or on LSR1 all the remaining tunels that comes from the other routers 2,3,4 not from LSR1 which is the origin of vpls01 will go down (R dissapear) for about 3 seconds and trafic running on this tunels will drop too . After 2-3 seconds everything go back normal and trafic start to flow again.

Is this Normal ?
If i bring up/down other vpls02 vpls03 vpls04 nothing happen. None of remaining the tunnels are affected. The only tunnel that go down is the one im testing to disable/enable.

-This problem comes only from the first router after vpls concentrator. i have tryed to reverse connections and put the last router LSR 4 as numer one after vpls concentrator and the problem change path. again the problem come from the first router in the path, this time is LSR4 .

any idea why should this happen ?

thnx Armand

It seems that you don't have VPLS interface passive in OSPF.
In OSPF interfaces add all as passive and then, add only the interfaces that has to be active to OSPF, i.e., ether1, ether2...
