Device IP alias with VPN

Sat Dec 29, 2018 12:43 am

Hello.

I have two separate RB connected with VPN over IPSec. On both RB is enabled OSPF protocol.
Is possible make some alias for specific device in first network, for network scanning in second network?

Example -
First network is 192.168.1.0/24 , second network is 10.10.10.0/24. My server have address 192.168.1.20. If I access directly from second network (my IP is for example 10.10.10.50) to 192.168.1.20 (ex. ping 192.168.1.20), it success. But if I use some specific network scanning programs (ex. VLC and its Plug and Play functionality), it is not possible find this server, because is out of my second network range.

Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you

This is due to either a firewall on one of the router boards or on the server itself. If you can ping from one local subnet to a remote subnet then routing is functioning and your issue exists higher up on the OSI model (IE Layer4)
