Would someone be so kind as to give me some advice or perhaps a step by step regarding setting up ports to allow VPN connections. I'm quite new to Mikrotik and would really appreciate some assistance

I am trying to create a vpn connection from the office to our traveling CEO, So all I need to make sure of is that the MT is configured properly so that I can focus on troubleshooting the VPN connection via Openvpn or L2TP\IPsec.
I want to either: host the VPN server from our DC or from a QNAP NAS.(naturally this is behind the MT NAT.

I have tried many forum entries, blog posts and videos to set this up, but the ports never test as open. (firmware bug?)

I have removed all settings from my testing and fiddling to start from scratch.

For the curious among you: The error I receive from the OpenVPN connection is "Warning bad encapsulated packet length from peer"
(This is why I am trying multiple ports.)
