Site-to-Multisite VPLS

Mon Aug 26, 2019 5:48 pm

Hi there,

We want to merge the networks of 5 offices in 5 countries and 1 datacenter into 1 L2 network.

All Offices have their own internet connection with public IP's through different ISPs. There is a Mikrotik at each loaction.
How to we accomplish this in the best possible way?

Thx.

Best regards

Extending Layer 2 is complicated and not recommended across countries for data centers. I strongly recommend against this.

Is there a specific reason why each datacenter can't have a routable subnet assigned to it?

Thank you for your response.

I did not know it was complicated. Why is it not recommended? Instability?

I wanted to simply the sharing of ressources accross the different sites.

I can easily design each contry with a subnet, and route through tunnels.
