Loopback as MPLS Interface

Thu Mar 26, 2020 8:49 pm

Hello,
I have a working MPLS environment where there are no interfaces defined in "/mpls interface" except for an MPLS loopback.
Being new to this protocol I'm wondering what if any are the drawbacks to doing it this way?

I do not expect to get a reply on this one, but it would be greatly appreciated since all of my research has turned up nothing in this regards to this so far.

Re: Loopback as MPLS Interface  [SOLVED]

MPLS interface entries are required to correctly determine MPLS MTU on interfaces participating in MPLS packet forwarding. Without these entries MPLS will not work properly, I would suggest to leave default "all" enabled.
