BGP Filtering routes from IXP internet exchange point

Sun May 24, 2020 1:44 pm

Hi,

Bellow Iam attaching the network diagram on which Iam in position os ISP1 (AS65537), we are connected with one router to one of the internet exchange points with two route servers (AS65536).

On the other side there is ISP2 (AS65538) connected to the IXP with two routers, one router is 192.168.100 on the other side of the country, and the router 192.168.1.101 very close to my location.

So i have the problem that all the routes that i receive from router servers (AS65536) for the ISP2 (AS 65538) gets evaluted by router ID of the ISP2 routers I cant filter by peer, i cant filter by AS,..... So the BGP install the routes for the AS65538 to the router that is on the other side of the country.

So, if i want to connect from our network ISP1 (AS65537) to the customer that is connected ISP2 network (AS65538) physically close to me, i have to go accros the whole country, back to the customer, and once again across the whole country back to the ISP2 router, and once more accros the whole country through IXP to my router.

Is there any way to install the routes for AS65538 that the gateway shows to the router 192.168.1.101 instead 192.168.1.100, I asked them to make direct peering thorugh IXP, and they dont want to do that. So Iam on my own to filter incoming routes from IXP. They have helped me with setting weight for routes for my network to the closest router to me, but thats it. But i still have the problem with outgoing traffic, because dont know how to discard the routes for the router that is far away from me.

Any help would be much appreciated.
