Winbox ports

Fri Sep 25, 2020 8:17 pm

Hi,

I'd like to access my switch through my firewall's DDNS service ie: firewall.ddnsprovider.com:xxxx

Where xxxx is the "port"

I know how to make that possible on the firewall end, but not sure what port Winbox requires? Then it means I can access it anywhere, and it would be easy to control from well, any where

Then it would not be a firewall but a security risk. ( a weak professional '-p )

Access to your router via the internet should be done via VPN.
Anything else is not recommended.

Eh. I'd enable / disable the VIP as and when is required. I also would do that but I don't have a firewall on this side of things

If you didn't change it (in IP->Services), default for WinBox is tcp port 8291.
