Hi, i have a question:

i ha ve a networki with OSPF,MPLS&TE running; over this network i use some VPLS, transported over TE Tunnels;
for a tunnel, i need that VPLS is running only over a specified TE tunnel;

i have configured the TE with static hops, and is ok; now i need that, if this TE fail, the VPLS hang down; really, now if the TE transport fail, VPLS re-route outside TE;

There is some to restrict vPLS only over a specified TE??

thanks,

regards,

Michele

VPLS tunnel uses LSP that is established with the other end of tunnel. If TE LSP is available, it is preferred. As soon as TE tunnel goes down, VPLS tunnel may select other LSP to the other end. So the key point is to ensure that there is no other LSP available. Assuming that that "other" LSP is established by LDP, you can e.g. filter out label binding to the remote end.
