Which routeros version works best with ospf v2?

Fri Apr 02, 2010 9:12 am

Hi i tried using ospf v2 on routeros 3.30 but got alot of packet disgarding errors in the logs, so i upgraded to version 4.6 and the problem disappeared. I do get minor error that says "link state changed from attemp to down"

Now i would like to know what routeros version does the people that uses ospf v2 recommend?
Which one works best for them?

Yes it was a bit tricky, i managed to set it up.

But two days after that i had to move back to static routes again becos on router 1 it created a gateway to another router and not the router that gives internet.

Could be, i have setup 3 static gateway with routing marks. I also see that on some of my routers is does not create a gateway so i has to make the gateway static.

I have setup ospf again and so far it is working good. i have disabled my static routes incase i need to enable them.

Im going to test it for a week or so and if it works then i will use it.

Make sure all your OS versions are the same level. This helps quite a bit.
