policy roting for masq and non-masq networks.

Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:30 pm

Hello.
1)
I try to test source routing configuration.
Is there any difference in configuration for:
a) network that should be Masq ?
b) network that should not be Masq ?
I mean:
Should I use mangle for network that is not MASQ or "ip route rule action=lookup src-adress=..." will enough?

2)
http://blog.butchevans.com/2008/09/mikr ... n-example/
...
add src-address=10.10.10.0/30 action=lookup table=ISP1
add routing-mark=ISP1 action=lookup table=ISP1
/ip firewall mangle
add chain=prerouting src-address=192.168.0.0/24 action=mark-routing \
new-routing-mark=ISP1 passthrough=no
...
Should the name of the new-routing-mark be equal "table name"?

1) src-nat works far after the routing decision, so you may just use routing rules

2) well, you may change what you highlighted in blue (although it's perversion: you just create another routing table and then redirect it to the first one). actually, two last routing rules are implicit, so you may not add it manually. but in that case blue and red marks should be the same =)
