Bonding GigE Circuits

Wed Feb 09, 2011 1:28 am

Talking to HE.net about getting a GigE connection and doing BGP. They say if you need a 2Gbps circuit they can bond two GigE circuits. So how do you bond two GigE circuits too the same provider and can Mikrotik do that?

They also offer a burstable 10Gbps burstable connection but that is way more money.

No need for that type of capacity now but looking at future.

It's a standards based technology. The only hangup is that the provider (the other side) has to explicitly support it and configure it on their end. It sounds like HE does.
