multiply BGP sessions - independent ASNs and prefixes

Thu Sep 27, 2012 10:49 am

Hi,

I have 2 ASNs, 2 providers and 4 prefixes and I need to:
announce prefix 1 belonging on ASN1 via provider 1
announce prefix 2,3 and 4 belonging on ASN2 via provider2

no need of load ballancing or failorver

This is my first experience with BGP protocol and I'm a bit lost ....
Any help will be apreciated
thanks in advance

Add all your prefixes in /routing bgp network menu

Then set up output routuing filters for each peer and filter out prefixes that you do not want to advertise to specific peers.

Thank you for your answer Ali,I've checked it, but it doesn't answer to my following questions:

I've noticed something else that confuses me -
traceroute from ip belloging to Prefix1, bellonging to ASN1 does not go trough the provider1 of ASN1 but it goes trough provider2 that belong of ASN2
in /ip route print
in front of dst address that should go via provider 1 is only Db
and in front of dst address that should go via provider 2 is ADb
seems like the route is not active ?
upload of prefix1/ASN1 goes via provider 2 and download of prefix1/ASN1 comes via provider 1
How can I make traffic (download/upload) from prefix1 of ASN1 goes only via provider 1 and traffic (download/upload) from prefix 2 3 and 4 goes only via provider2 of ASN2 ?
Thanks to all that will share ideas.
