CHR: No Cloud DDNS?

Sun Mar 19, 2017 5:22 am

I recently set up a CHR VM (v6.38.5), and am in the process of moving the configuration over from my old router. /ip cloud doesn't seem to exist... Does this function not work in the CHR? Or do I need to install a package? Thanks!

No this function is based on serial number of the hardware. And since CHR don't have a serial number ip cloud is not part of CHR.
That's the explanation I got. I hope they fix this in future release.

Thanks for the info. That is unfortunate, and may keep me from buying a license.

IP cloud is something like quickset. It has nothing to do on serious router.

Might be so but I do not see the issue with them providing the use to use that have dynamic IP and need it.
Do this feature belong in a enterprise network? No it don't but for me a more advanced home user ;-) it's great!

i love "IP CLOUD".
1.so easy to check my customers router that have dynamic ip.
2.no need for no-ip and dyndns scripts.

Solved this by using the Cloud function from one of my wAP AC's instead of my core router. Works, but just doesn't seem like the right way to do it.
