Get UUID from inside guest CHR

Thu Aug 03, 2017 11:07 pm

Hi all,

I'd like to be able to find out some kind of identifier for the VM the CHR is running inside from the guest itself. The VM Host is KVM / QEMU based.

In a linux machine I can run 'dmidecode' to get the UUID of the guest. This doesn't seem to be exposed in RouterOS.

Is this possible? Could it be added?

I know I could match MAC addresses or similar, but UUID would be a more elegant solution.

Thanks
