Hi Guys

Im new to the forum, and new to using CHR...... (used many RB's though so im very familiar with Mikrotik's)
Firstly, i did get the free trial account and then immediately purchased the P1 license and added it to the router.


Question on the NIC speed im seeing for the interface "ether1"
I have the CHR hosted in a ESXI 6.5 system connected to a vSwitch which has a 1Gbps Physical NIC assigned.
However if i look at the NIC status in Winbox the NIC says its up at 10Gb ?
I was expecting to see it at 1Gb ?

full-duplex: yes
default-cable-setting: standard

When i did some bandwidth tests to some of my other physical Mikrotik RB's i see MANY dropped packet on the TX stream for UDP.
Im assuming the NIC is trying to send packets well beyond the means of the physical NIC ? which is the cause of the packet loss ?

I apologise if these questions have been delt with in other topics......i did do a search for this and dont really find any other topics directly
related to what ive asked here.
