MetaRouter Rb1100 Vlan Issues

Mon Mar 14, 2011 5:25 am

Hi,

Did a bit of searching on this issue but can't seem to find a simialr case reported.

We have a Rb1100 (v4.13) and have ether13 connected to a 3rd party provider, This provider would liketo pass us a few VLANS including a few to a Metarouter we have running on our Rb1100 which is managed by a customer.

I have added another interface to the Virtual and set it as static to ether13 on the host, the issue arises when we add a VLAN in the Metarouter it isn' being passed back to the network.

Is there anything special I need to configure for this to work?.

Cheers

Cameron

if you assign ethernet interface to metarouter - do not use it in any configuration on your host system. It will not work correctly in that case. Also, if you have assigned ethernet port to metarouter, consider that port disconnected from host router, as you will not have reliable connection through it to your host.

Ok, So if I remove the use of this port on the host will the vlans start to work on the metarouter?
