KVM virtual ethernet interface and WAN real interface

Sun Jan 27, 2013 12:06 pm

Hi all !
I am new in mikrotik ROS , but anyway i want learn mikrotik, and after couple of months i start virtualisation with KVM in mikrotik ROS x86

Iinstalled Debian 6.0.6 , also instaled webserver and mysql and ssh server , and added 8 virtual interfaces
/kvm interface> add virtual-machine=kvm1 type=dynamic
which in interfaces are shown Virtual Ethernet interfaces as tap1,tap2,tap3 and so on until tap8.
Added IP address in tap1 interface 192.168.20.1 on 192.168.20.254/24 , and connected to internet success.
And finely how can i connect to kvm debian guest os to ssh server and debian web server from mikrotik WAN or LAN interface thru PuTTY interface and connect.

I searched everywhere , and didn't found anything about how can i start and what i must use !

you should regard virtual interfaces as physical ones and only ones that are available to you from anywhere to your virtual guest.

So you have to route to your guest or bridge interface to expand Ethernet network and include your virtual guest in it. Afterwards it will work as if it was in your local Ethernet.
