Hello,
I have a Virtual PC made in VMware Workstation on Windows. Which virtualization use instead vmware on linux-ubuntu 64-bit? KVM?
VMware ESXiYou can either use KVM, Qemu or VirtualBox.
ROS works with all of those.
But which hypervisor is best? I need to share the NIC with the host as a bridge, running on a Xeon 3460.. Trying with hyper-threading disabled right now on ESXiFor those who are running small data centers the MT is the best option. However, You can try Vmware as that is the fastest known virtual environment or KVM as that is part of RouterOS
If an existing installation is being blamed as a problem then does it matter which you choose, the objective is to prove or disprove the installation on the existing machine? ESXi I have found works CHR really well once you get over creating the relevant files. But which hypervisor is best? I need to share the NIC with the host as a bridge, running on a Xeon 3460.. CPU features visible, CPU features hidden, different NIC types.
Don't care about the hypervisor's features, only care about the CHR performance.
Trying to prove network issues but CHR is being blamed. I would go bare-metal but with not being able to transfer the license to another install, since I won't have the hard drive, I don't want to go this method (that is the only thing stopping me from doing a bare-metal install).
So, which combination works best?
Basic search..?Hello Guys,
I just joined Mikrotic forum. I have two mikrotic routers using desktop version. According to this thread, there is virtualization for Mikrotic os. This is very good.I have Esxi 6.0.
How do i get the right virtual image for mikrotic os so that i can install it on ESXI 6.0 host.
Hope to read from you guys
