high ping of 192.168.88.1

Tue Nov 10, 2015 11:32 am

I have just unpack RB260GSP (version 1.14)
I have access to 192.168.88.1 but...

ping 192.168.88.1

Pinging 192.168.88.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time=19ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time=24ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time=24ms TTL=255

Is it normal ? I have expected to be something like:
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.88.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=255

Well. I am not familiar with this type of switch but I would take care about the switching speed instead of cpu processing delays. Does it make any kind of problem to you?

RB260 has a simple CPU just to ensure configuration management of the Gigabit switch-chip. The bigger latency does not affect its switching capabilities and an access to the web GUI.
