CSS326/SwOS 2.1 - same MAC address

Fri Apr 21, 2017 3:47 pm

Hello!
After upgrade to SwOS 2.1, my two CSS326 came up with same MAC address, so i can't manage it because management vlan also the same.
Downgraded to 2.0 and MACs restored to factory default (different of course).
WTF? How this going to production?

How did you upgrade the CSS326? Via manual upgrade?

Crap, so are you saying if we have multiple units of the new RB260GS and upgrade to version 2.1 they will all have the same MAC address??

If so, when is the 2.2 fix available? Can I get it soon?

I'm deploying these daily, so I'm going to have to go back out and swap all of the ones deployed with ones upgraded to 2.2 I guess.

This sucks.

I've tested it only on CSS326, i don't know if this problem affects another devices

Support says that new version will be released "very soon".

P.S. 2.2RC3 brokes SFP+ 10G connectivity for me, switch became unresponsive, so always test new version in lab before going to prod, current releases of SwOS looks like beta channel :(
