Password problem RB260GSP

Sat Apr 14, 2018 9:05 pm

I have an old model RB260GSP switch in use as optical->gigabit converter with some VLANs defined etc.
Today the power has been cycled and now the switch no longer accepts the password that was configured
before. All the other config appears to be still there (the VLANs still work)

I have powercycled the switch again but it does not resolve the issue.
What can have happened? Is there any password it may have gone (back) to?
I have tried some (empty, admin etc) but I have not succeeded.
I have a previously downloaded config that has the hex value of the password and it corresponds to
the password I know and have tried. (it is just the hex values of the ASCII characters of the password)
But it no longer works...

HELP!

Nobody knows? Today there is some opportunity to go to the device and reset it, but it is difficult.
Something that can be done remotely would still have the preference.
When it is reset, can it be configed via the SFP?

We tried with another device (same model) and it does not work correctly either.
After complete configuration it is accessible under the set password, after powercycle it accepts the same user ID only with empty password.
Setting the password again, it is OK, but after powercycle it is again empty.
What can be going on here?
It is running software 1.17 Is it a known issue?

Nothing?
Is it standard for this switch type or is there another explanation?
