CSS326 IGMP Snooping not working!

Thu Aug 02, 2018 1:15 am

I am using a CSS326 switch.
I have configured IGMP Snooping on VLAN90.
However, multicast seems to be broadcast.
The SwOS version is 2.8 and is the same in 2.7.

Port stat

IGMP snooping
sw2.PNG
After changing the IPTV channel, the screen will not appear for about 2 minutes and then it will come out.

What should I check?
Is it a bug in Mikrotik?

Same here, iptv uplink will flood all ports even when igmp snooping is ON and enabled on vlan.
I had to create separate vlan just for tv`s....

Hello!
I have a little different issue. When IGMP snooping is disabled, everything works as it should, multicast packets flood to all ports and IPTV works well. But when I enable this option, IPTV doesn't works at all! I can see IPTV members on IGMP tab, but no any multicast traffic is going through the switch to IPTV member. My switch has a default configuration, no any VLANs or other settings were changed, just enabled the IGMP snooping option on System tab.
Is it an issue or I'm doing something wrong?

Hi,

Same issue on CSS326

For the tesing we setup pim and monitored what is going on > From the pim side we see that the quereis are coming, but from source with the 0.0.0.0/0 address but must be unicast.

Impossible to define multicast router port, and the queries are not passing the source ip so igmp function is useless.

Hoped to see some changes in 2.9, but the problem is not solved :(
I have attached the drawing of my network setup to clarify the situation. There are two CSS326 switches and one CCR1009 router. The router is connected to the internet provider with IPTV. The switches are connected between with 10G optical cable and one of them is connected to the router (also with 10G cable). IGMP snooping on the router is enabled, but it doesn't affects on my problem. When IGMP snooping on both switches is disabled, everything works and IPTV clients can watch their TV channels. But if I enable IGMP snooping on any switch (or both of them), everything brokes and no one can watch TV. The most strange thing is that if I enable IGMP snooping on "Switch 1", IPTV stops working on "Client 3" and "Client 4" ! I don't see any adequate explanation of such behavior... And when I disable IGMP snooping on switches, it takes about 5 minutes to everything become working again, it's also very strange.
Can anyone explain what's happening here?

Mikrotik despite my many requests.
I showed what doesn't work in PIM

It doesn't correct errors.
Do not use PIM in Mikrotik has many errors and mikrotik don't improve them.

i had this sort of issue too, with a CRS328-24P-4S+ arm, routeros

IGMP snooping on the bridge, no performance,
IGMP snooping off, works, but you see all trafic go to all ports.
IGMP snooping on, and enable Vlan filtering on the bridge. - works!

Hi, I'd also be interested to know if IGMP problems are still there or not... Thanks!
