I am getting a new RB260GSP today which I plan to install in the attic to connect an NVR and an AP.
Currently, the AP (Unifi) is being powered by a Unifi PoE switch (located in the basement), and the NVR is connected to the router via a powerline adapter.
I want to connect both via the switch. My understanding is that the PoE on the RB260GSP is set to "auto" from the factory, so I can leave that as it is.
My question is: do I need to create VLANs for my situation or can I just plug both devices (the AP and the NVR) into the switch, connect the switch to the Unifi switch downstairs, turn it on and be done with it?
BTW, even though the Unifi switch has PoE+, I plan to use the included adapter to power the GS260 in order to decrease the load on the Unifi switch.
