netPower Lite 7R cable fault ?

Mon Jan 25, 2021 6:15 pm

Hello,
I've brought the CSS610-1Gi-7R-2S+OUT a few days ago, powered it by CRS328-24P-4S+RM (25.9v / auto) via a 20m SFTP CAT6 outdoor cable and it works fine.
I connected a nanobeam M5 (24v/0.3A max) on port8 via a 3m utp cat6 patch cord and it worked well for 2 days and then it started to fail.
- port8 link status displays "Fault At: 4m" and "Cable Pairs: __SS",
- forcing the PoE voltage to low on CRS328 didn't help.
- the device works fine after turning the PoE off and on from the switch but the problem occurs again after 5-30 minutes.
haven't had the time to replace the cable yet or check if the device is actually powered off.
anyone know what those readings mean ?

Please try with longer cables for some voltage drop - UBNT devices don't like voltages above 24V (which is a pity, because 27-28V is needed to properly charge a 24V lead-acid battery).

it wasn't a power issue, replacing the cable with a longer SFTP one didn't help at all.
