RB260GS Management vlan

Fri May 03, 2013 11:20 pm

Hi All

I have a configuration that looks something like this:

vlans

501 - Port 1 [always strip], Port 2 [not member], Port 3 [not member], Port 4 [not member], Port 5 [not member], SFP [add if missing]
601 - Port 1 [not member], Port 2 [not member], Port 3 [not member], Port 4 [not member], Port 5 [not member], SFP [add if missing]
800 - Port 1 [not member], Port 2 [always strip], Port 3 [always strip], Port 4 [always strip], Port 5 [always strip], SFP [add if missing]

On the system tab, I have changed the IP address to 172.21.0.71; and set the vlan to 601.

However when connecting to the RS260GS from vlan 601, which I am entering the switch via its trunk port (SFP) I am unable to access the management interface.

Any ideas?

Thanks
David

I encountered the same problem, it is a bug on 1.8 version.

The solution is the update to 1.9 and you need to set static ARP on your gateway for the mikrotik ip ( exemple on cisco: arp 1.1.1.1 0000.1111.2222 arpa )
