SwOS version 1.10 released

Wed Dec 18, 2013 2:34 pm

What's new in 1.10:

*) allow to disable/enable auto negotiation on SFP port on RB260;
*) fixed problem - hosts tab stopped working if 0:0:0:0:0:0 was learned on RB250;
*) enable transmit on SFP port only when module with signal is detected;
*) fixed problem - port lock & lock on first did not work on RB260;
*) fixed problem - port full duplex setting was set for wrong port on RB260;
*) fixed problem - broadcast correct uptime to it's neighbors;
*) fixed problem - port egress rate did not limit traffic properly on RB260;
*) fixed problem - sometimes board did not reboot after upgrade;
*) added vlan-id to static host table;

RB260GS requires VLAN mode set to "optional", "enabled" or "strict" to be able to forward tagged traffic.

i said about function port lock, not vlan tagging. VLAN is works great, but port lock is works only in vlan id 1.

VLAN id 1 is for untagged frames. Additional Static Hosts entries with the same MAC but other VLAN ids are needed to make Port Lock work for other VLAN ids.

that is, you want to say that the port lock does not work for other Vlan but the first id? or pls, give me example working configuration with another vlan id and enabled port lock.
p.s. are you speak russian?

The following configuration sets Port Lock on RB260GS Port4 and Port5. It allows untagged (vlan id 1) and tagged (vlan id 5) frames between hosts with specified MAC addresses.

we have serious problem with RB260:
we are using RB260 with singlemode 1-fibre SFP modules (1310, 1550nm) GigaLight GPB-3524L-L2CD-C (cisco compatible) "blue"

and another end of fibre is
EDGECORE ES4624-SFP or SIGNAMAX 065-7851 or brocade FCX624S-F
or RB2011xxxx with "yellow" GPB-5324L-L2CD-C

problem is SFP initialization after SHORT power failure or FAST DISCONNECT/RECONNECT power adapter on RB260 - ethernet ports are working,
but in switch management is SFP module not visible and autonegotiation settings not checked (fw didnt remember that settings????)
after unplug and plug SFP works normally, problem problem is with SFP initialization / handling on RB260?!

tested also 1-fibre SPB-7710CIS-HTR - SPB-7610CIS-HTR and working correctly ...?

2-fibre SFPs are working normally, so problem is with 1-fibre SFP handling/negotiation/initialization?? ...

CAN U PLEASE MAKE FIX FOR THIS BUG????!!! this problem can be maybe fixed with sfp socket restart after RB260 boots up ... maybe ...?

please correct me if i am wrong:

1. i don't see any SNTP implementation in this device?
2. i don't see any logging at all ?
3. there is no information about igmp snooping so there is no igmp snooping?
4. there is no possibility to name ports ...

Is SSL or SSH support coming in SwOS anytime soon? It's a little amazing to me that there's no terminal interface, or a way to secure the web session.

260GS SNMP is going on and off on the dude map. with 1,09 on other 260GS SNMP is working stable.
I'll check also RB532A (3.30) which is before switch. Maby he is blocking in some way a SNMP transmission.

BUG!! RB260GS SFP power loss

Wed Apr 23, 2014 10:12 am

We experience the exactly the same problem with the the Mikrotik SFP DDM S-35/53LC20D single fiber modules.
The RB260GS are on the latest firmware version 1.12.

After a power loss, the link is not restored. To restore the link the SFP module needs to be taken out and plugged in again!!

Our units are remotely placed in Camera poles and therefore the need to resolve this issue is high!

Thank you for the quick support! Martin

Hello, it is an old thread but we experience the same problem on one place with SFP not linking after short power outage on RB260GS. The only solution is plug out and plug in the fiber.
We bought about 10 pieces at once, but this happens only on one device. ANy idea?
