I am using the single mode dual fiber SFP S-31DLC20D and am running version 1.10.
The issue I have is that when the Cisco unit is rebooted or the fiber is disconnected, the link will not come back unless I power cycle the RB260GS.
For the record, the SFP light comes back, but the Cisco unit shows no link and the link does not come back until I power off the RB260GS and power it back on. Then everything is fine.
Any ideas? Is there a setting I am missing? I am deploying hundreds of these and can't have them all go offline just because we drop power in the Central Office. When power is restored, these links need to come back without having to contact/visit every site and power cycle the equipment. (Kind of important when you have over 1,000 sites connected)
I'd be happy with a simple watchdog on the switch that runs every five minutes automatically power cycles it if it misses 5 ICMP responses.
Settings are in attached JPG.
Cisco Settings are as follows:
Code: Select all
interface GigabitEthernet0/2
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
description Mikrotik SFP Test Port
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
