DNS server and cache server

Wed Sep 16, 2015 6:05 pm

Dear all friends,

i have got a handful of more then 850 + concurrent customers under my ISP belt. the Broadband provided to them through RF only, with the help of CPE.

i m in search of some brilliant, blazing fast, very robust, rock solid DNS server solution for my clients. and i wanna do it in such a way that the effect of this exercise would must be noticeable immediately ,when the customer browse or surf or play videos on their computers.

so friends how could i achieve this using ROS?

what hardware i should use to achieve my goal?

and yes if is there any sort of similar solution for p2p or you tube caching.

Kind Regards.

It's unlikely a DNS server will make anything blazingly fast. It may shave a few milliseconds off...

Caching DNS-server (like dnsmasq) and a caching proxy (like squid). There are some solutions around to cache youtube with squid.
