limiting udp connections ????????????

Fri Aug 04, 2006 8:19 am

I have sooooo many udp connections and don't have any way to limit them. Is there any option for this or is there good reason to not limit your udp connections. Please and thank you for any advice in advance.

mikrotik _does_ create sessions for UDP conversations ... I know UDP is sessionless but there is connection tracking applied. Look in your connections table.

If your trying to limit the number of connections in the table just change the timeouts to like 10s or something. DNS uses UDP and will show lots of connections.
