Fixing Bufferbloat with Mikrotik router and Cable or DSL modems as ISP using simple queue

Mon Oct 26, 2015 11:28 pm

Been looking for a solution to this for a while now, think I've finally found the fix:

Using DSL Reports Speed test: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest

After adding:
/queue simple
add max-limit=80M/10M name=queue1 target=ether1-gateway
Adjust the max-limit=80M/10M so that:
First number is just under Internet download speed in Mbps
Second number is just under Internet upload speed in Mbps

Initial results were:

After Adjustment:
2015-10-26 17_14_06-Test Result 72.5_9.49 megabit_second _ DSLReports, ISP Information.png

That's great news! Is there any chance that you could post results from running the RRUL test from flent.org? (See https://flent.org/intro.html#quick-start ) Thanks!
