Hotspot configuration doesnt seem to do anything - help

Mon Jan 04, 2016 6:49 am

I'm trying to configure the hotspot and following the instructions here:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Hotspot

However, when I connect the ether2 port, I can access webpages without any hotspot login page displaying.
I've checked my IP address and it doesn't seem to be picking up and address from the 10.5.50.1/24 range,
but instead from the default 192.168.88.xx range.

Am I missing a step?

Hi,

I have to routers 951G. Each router separately works correctly but I have not been able to attach the second one to the primary router to work as an extender.

I have review the mesh configuration and the hotspot configuration but nothing works.

Can anyone send my a video or tutorial of how to do it

thanks for your help

I think you tried setting the hotspot up with the default config still on the router.

I suggest you reset the router with no default config and try again.

It should solve your issue.

I'm planning to make a video showing the steps in English.

So if you still struggle let met know and I will make the video.

If you cant wait, try this one.
