Feature request: indicate which settings are ignored

Thu Feb 04, 2016 11:54 am

[ This could apply to both GUI and CLI although I use CLI way more than GUI ]

Show unused options in another colour so it's obvious which ones have NO effect in current state.

e.g. channel-width is decided by AP, not station so the value here is unused

At the very least it would help if there were some extra columns on ... properties like "AP" or "NV2" which have ✔ticks or ✘crosses in to show if they're used or not.

So for channel-width, there'd be a ✔ for AP and a ✔ for NV2 (and nstreme and 802.11).
For tdma-period-size there'd be a ✔ for AP, ✔ for NV2, ✘ for 802.11 and ✘ for nstreme (I think).

Certainly adding the columns to the WIKI wouldn't take too much space and should be relatively quick.
