Should I buy sxtg 2hnd or any good alternative?

Fri Feb 26, 2016 6:58 pm

Hi friends, I am new into this forum, also new into networking, I am web developer from small village, my one of old school friend provide me internet connection and I am using airgrid m5 to receive data connection from his town(which is 10km far away from my home).

Now, my other friends(Almost 20 -30 devices) also want wifi from him, but it's cost too much, if all of my friend use airgrid, and hence my friend suggest me to use SXTG, which will connect to his server, and create wifi spots, so my other friends can connect to sxtg.

Now, my question is should I use SXTG 2hnd, because when I search on Google about it, then I got many years old result, So I think, that device is too old, and many others cool device which may be come, So Any can suggest me which device I should use? any alternative? or I should stick with my friend suggestion.

Another thing is that, some of my friends living in height and some of not, so my friend suggest me to use 2-3 SXT to cover all of area, so is there any other device which I can use to cover all most 1 km of area?

Sorry if my question in wrong forum section, also sorry for some noob question.

I would use sxt 5hnd if you will not need more than 100 Mb or use one on 5ghz with gigabit land if you need more. Then use one of the omnitik for local coverage. Keep in mind that your friend will not be able to connect directly with their laptops or smartphone to omnitik. They have to use each one sxt to connect to omnitik.

SXT 2 price($79.00) is lower than sxt 5 ($89.00), then is there any advantages to use sxt 5?

Using 5ghz band may have less interference in your area. If there are neighbours with routers near you they will be most likely in 2,4 ghz band. So in this situation your transport link will perform better in 5ghz band. you can use 2,4 with omnitik for your local coverage. Also 5hpnd have better specs than 2hnd
