broadcast

as this uses broadcast to determine who's there...
look that you didn't block tcp/udp 135-139 and your broadcast address

how are the AP's Clients getting their Ip's and are they in the same subnet as the wired clients who you are trying to access via netbios?

They are all getting IP-s from same DHCP pool and adresses are 10.10.0.0/24.

I just reset all settings, add bridge interface, put in it ether1 & wlan1, add address to bridge, setup hotspot, but the same thing is happening. Eerything is ok but Share via "My NP"

Jes I put hotspot on a bridge. It works very fine. Something was wrong with my windows installation so I couldn't see anyone else. I reinstalled and now works perfectly!

several monts ago i planned to put a hotspot on a simple organisation with 20-30 windows workstations. i put a hotspot on a bridge and smt. goes wrong, hotspot does not work propertly. nobody can be in touch with in. and i reform the MT box to work as a usual router with two ether i-faces. now (1 year later) everything works still fine.

that is the reason i ask how the hotspot works on a bridge.

does your hotspot contact with a radius server or not

C. G.

What did work incorrectly for you ?
HotSpot should work fine on bridge (setup hotspot to the interface=bridgex).

i fired up a mt-box with 2 LAN Eth. NIC, put ethers on the bridge.
when setup hotspot on interface=bridge1, i lose any connection to it.

you have to be authenticated in the HotSpot, to access MikroTik router by IP address (there is no problem with MAC-winbox access).
Add the particular host to the 'ip-binding type=bypassed' list, if you want to bypass HotSpot authentication for the certain host.

yes, with "type=bypassed' " i can access to MT, but cannot be authenticated.

here is configuration:

/ ip hotspot
add name="server1" interface=bridge1 profile=hsprof1 idle-timeout=none \
keepalive-timeout=none disabled=no
/ ip hotspot service-port
set ftp ports=21 disabled=no
/ ip hotspot ip-binding
add mac-address=00:08:C7:FF:4C:91 address=192.168.0.8 \
to-address=192.168.0.8 server=server1 type=bypassed comment="" \
disabled=no
/ ip hotspot profile
set default name="default" hotspot-address=0.0.0.0 dns-name="" \
html-directory=hotspot rate-limit="" http-proxy=0.0.0.0:0 \
smtp-server=0.0.0.0 login-by=mac,cookie,http-chap http-cookie-lifetime=3d \
split-user-domain=no use-radius=no
add name="hsprof1" hotspot-address=192.168.0.6 \
dns-name="unknown.mnbo.com" html-directory=hotspot rate-limit="" \
http-proxy=0.0.0.0:0 smtp-server=0.0.0.0 \
login-by=mac,cookie,http-chap,https,http-pap http-cookie-lifetime=3d \
ssl-certificate=none split-user-domain=no use-radius=no
/ ip hotspot user
add server=server1 name="dude" password="123iop" address=192.168.0.8 \
mac-address=00:08:C7:FF:4C:91 profile=VIP comment="" disabled=no
/ ip hotspot user profile
set default name="default" idle-timeout=none keepalive-timeout=2m \
status-autorefresh=1m shared-users=1 transparent-proxy=yes \
open-status-page=always advertise=no
add name="VIP" idle-timeout=none keepalive-timeout=2m status-autorefresh=1m \
shared-users=1 rate-limit="512000/512000" transparent-proxy=no
[admin@pppoe] ip hotspot>
