Unable to access MKT via WAN port by WinBox

Mon Apr 25, 2016 12:00 pm

Hi all,

I used MKT hardware router model hEX lite currently, but I cannot access MKT remotely via WinBox with Public IP.

What I did are:

Accept port 8291 on firewall and NAT this port but still cannot access from remotely.

Note: I am sure I am correctly password and user used.
When I connect it just show me on WinBox v3.1 as "Connecting to 105.x.x.x

Any suggestion please what wrong?

Thanks,

Does the Hex get the public IP itself?

All that is needed if its getting the public IP, is to allow TCP port 8291 in input chain. No nat needed.

Do you have secure mode selected in your Winbox client (insecure uses a different port)?

Do you use PPPOE but specified actual Ethernet interface in firewall rule?

Does Winbox service have any IP limits specified in IP > Services?
