Forward all traffic from one interface to another

Fri Aug 26, 2016 6:41 am

We've had a new SIP trunk setup and connected to our Mikrotik router, I need to forward all traffic coming from int ETH2 to an internal IP address of a VM (VM Host is connected to Eth5) for our dialler server. How would I set this up in Winbox? Will I need to forward all traffic from Eth2 to Eth5, and then use a NAT rule to send the traffic to the internal IP address?

Thanks, I've had a look at that, but I've already tried something very similar and there's just no traffic going through that rule. Tried again following that guide, but still nothing.

Using the Ping tool in winbox, I realized I can't ping from Eth2 to the internal ip address I want to forward the traffic to. I suspect that is why this rule doesn't work, since it can't reach the internal IP address. Am I right in thinking that I first need to get the traffic forwarded to Eth5 - where the VM host is connected?

Hi, have you try bridging? how VM server could be reached are 2 options, DNAT and bridge.

Absolutly all traffic? In such case you needn't router ^)
Or only traffic related to the concrete global IP? Then dst-nat...

Mark routing to your email server, and add a route with that mark in your routing table.
Easy :)
