'URL handler' feature

Mon Oct 02, 2006 10:30 pm

I think it would be nice to have an url handler for winbox. So that my application can just open url eg "winbox://1.2.3.4" and it'll run winbox and look in its list of saved mikrotiks. Then it finds saved miktorik with IP 1.2.3.4 and connect to it etc.

So that in my app can say eg 'An error seems to be on MK abcd, I'll open it for you and try to solve it'

Also there could be other hanlder, like "winbox://admin:pass@1.2.3.4" will connect directly and "winbox://admin@1.2.3.4" will just prompt 4 password etc

THX

this is not a feature of the application, but of the OS and of the browser. edit your registry a little to make it work.

Can I somewhere find a list of parameters that could be given to winbox.exe?

-address
-name
-password

if you don't set the last two, it will check against it's `saved passwords` file and will take the login/pass from there.

Hello,

The problem is from the browser we can only send in this format winbox://IP of the device.
Any ideas to remove this winbox:// or winbox should understand this format?
