Webserver behind Mikrotik - different WAN IP

Tue Sep 06, 2016 12:00 am

Hello,

I have a situation where I need to put Webserver available to internet which will be located in my company.

Situation is next:
I have 2 IP addresses delivered to me on a single port.

Currently primary IP address for all offices, guests is 111.111.111.111 everything working like it should.
I have a need to start a webserver located inside my company, I have connected machine to my network, I get DHCP address 192.168.1.18 and the server is going online using 111.111.111.111
well I do not want that!

So I added new address in IP > Addresses for eth1 and I tried by pinging from my home 222.222.222.222 and it was possible.
So now I have 2 IP addresses on one ethernet port.

Thing I did next is
Image
Because of safety I just minimized Dst.Address so this 85.11 is actually 222.222.222.222 and DSL1 is eth1

Well and now I tried going online with that 192.168.1.18 and it's using 222.222.222.222 to reach websites, also all requests to SSH, FTP coming to 222.222.222.222 are going to that machine.
Is this proper way how I did it?
I do not want to have security problems that's why I asked for advice?
