green - Queue can handle all the traffic using only its limit-at

yellow - Queue can handle all the traffic, but have to ask traffic from the parent

red - Queue can't handle all the traffic

Thank you for information. I have another question. Our system has near 600 users and I see many red icons. Is this means that the user with red icon can't use all his bandwidth? So do we need to upgrade our mikrotik's hardware? The system is AMD on 2.2GHz.

Thanks again.

RED means that user is reached the limit and if there were any traffic available user would use it.

so - RED is - users uses all what he paid for

if you want to turn them into green, you have to make your connection wider in means of traffic throughput.

when you see it's red all the time....
it means it's the time to ask your client to pay for service upgrade :)

example:

limit-at=5Mbps
max-limit=10Mbps

If client requires more than 10Mbps, then queue will be red

If client requires less than 5Mbps, then queue will be green

If client requires from 5Mbps to 10Mbps, AND parent can give him additional traffic to meet requirements then queue will be yellow.
(if parent can't - red)

Queue colors in Winbox:
0% - 50% available traffic used - green
51% - 75% available traffic used - yellow
76% - 100% available traffic used - red

This is wrong. You can check it with simple scenario
0% - 50% available traffic used - green
51% - 75% available traffic used - yellow
76% - 100% available traffic used - red

The truth is
green - a class the actual rate of which is equal or less than limit-at.
yellow - a class the actual rate of which is greater than limit-at and equal or less than max-limit.
red - a class the actual rate of which exceeds max-limit.

0% - 50% available traffic used - green
51% - 75% available traffic used - yellow
76% - 100% available traffic used - red
i think you are right is "max-limit" of the queue

"limit-at" has nothing to do with it, colors don't depend on it

i have tested a queue with limit-at of 64k and color behavior don't change
