Hello Everybody.....I'm new to the forums, but I have a questions. We're starting to launch Cloudcore Routers. Can one of the 36 Core units support 150+ VLAN's, along with DHCP for each VLAN, on one box? Any help you can give would be appreciated.
Depends on how many devices are on the network and how much bandwidth you have etc, but probably. I've just installed a CCR1009-7G-1C-PC on a client site with 10 VLANs and a little under 100 devices on a 50Mbps/20Mbps connection, and it's sitting at <1% CPU usage
Thanks for the reply's. This is for a dormitory where each dorm room has a dedicated Ruckus H500 AP (155 APs) and their own SSID. I want to assign a dedicated VLAN and DHCP scope to each Dorm Room's SSID. Of course all of the AP's are on 1G lines with Cisco SG500 switches. Our main trunk is 1gbps/1gbps fiber.
Just wondered if the CCR1036-12G-4S-EM would be able to handle the load. We'll be running our management subnet on one port of the CCR and plan to provision about 30 VLANs per CCR port. Anybody have any thoughts?? Thanks in advance.
