Hmmm, not really better here.

Still taking up to 30 seconds and more for a page to load...

as normis have said - this is not download related, period.

if it was download realted, then after few hours it would be ended... but it is not.

I have never said this was related to download traffic.

From my net connections (tried over different German providers) it's simply a lousy connection with ping times over 200-300ms and a packet loss of up to 60% sometimes...
Most of the problems I see are in the NTT backbone area (AS2914).

Well, when trying this tool, it won't work, because a JavaScript function "checkURL" is not defined....

But whatever the problem is - I'm on holiday this week and don't really care ;)

Indeed (although this is not mentioned anywhere I could see it) - how could I dare to use some other browser... ;)

But this does not say anything - the measured from different nodes in the US. What I wrote was that connections from Europe/Germany were lousy, and I'll leave it at that.
Back to holiday :D

Did you try that test with an actual topic link? Thirteen seconds to load this one.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here but something is not right. I'm keeping a second browser open to read the news while waiting.

watching the clock on my computer, about 12 seconds from click to this page opening. some times it's far worse.

I am actually "browsing" the forum with 2 browser windows at once, one to read/respond, and one to load what I'm going to read soon...

Last night (GMT+1 zone) the forum was horribly slow ...
seems as if it changed the server: ip: 12.22.39.145

Old ip was the same with http://www.mikrotik.com: 66.228.113.26

Still running slow - the reply icon took 55 seconds to appear. As I type here, there are 5 items remaining "Downloading picture forum.mikrotik.com/image..." Most pages don't completly load before reading the entire post and hitting "back".

sadly enough the forums have been so intermittent this past week I've finally gotten a life and not logged on in a few days : ) Whatever is wrong might be a good thing for me : - )

PS - it took this page about 20 mins to come up.

Forum itself is pretty normal here, but some icons (especially the "new posts"/"no new posts" icons) take ages to load.

Acutally, I'm usually finished reading the whole topic before that load...

I've had this problem since 2 years ago. anything odd? apparently mikrotik is even using proxy server for outbounding traffic !!!! they always do it for clients visiting web not web server serving global internet....

Forum, wiki, and routerboard site didn't work for me on Friday or Saturday. Didn't check it Sunday.

I was trying to get to the routerboard site to get product some detailed specs so I could order some stuff.

Seems we rely on these sites for documentation, it's pretty important. Mikrotik's website has been the least reliable (but perhaps most useful) of all the vendors I deal with.
